Wilhelm Trüstedt

Wilhelm Trüstedt (born June 8, 1908 , † December 10, 1995 ) was a German lawyer and, before retiring, President of the Senate (presiding judge) at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

After initially working in the ordinary judiciary, Trüstedt joined the newly opened German Patent Office in 1950 as the successor to the Reich Patent Office in Munich . With the establishment of the Federal Patent Court in 1961, he switched to this, where he was appointed chairman of the legal board of appeal. In 1968 he was appointed to the Federal Court of Justice. There he was assigned to the patent senate , which he assumed chairmanship after his predecessor, Karl Spreng , retired on June 30, 1972. During this time he played a key role in Eduard Reimer 's comment on the patent law . Trüstedt also wrote a number of articles in specialist journals. He held the chairmanship of the 10th Civil Senate until he retired on June 30, 1976.
