Wilhelminensglück (also known as a hospital settlement) is a mining settlement in the Schipkau district of Klettwitz that was built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. It was named after a briquette factory in the northwest of Klettwitz.

history

Wilhelminensglück owes its origin to the Treuherz mine and the associated Wilhelminensglück I / II briquette factory in 1886/87, as well as the Anhalt coal works of J. Treuherz in 1896/97. Since the 1950s, the settlement has also been known as a hospital settlement. The western part of the settlement was dredged away in the 1930s and had to give way to the Klettwitz opencast mine .

Wilhelminensglück belongs to the large community of Schipkau , is located northeast of the old Klettwitz train station, east of the Klettwitz-Nord wind farm, and south of the Herrnmühle location at the Klettwitz hospital .
