Willem Christiaan Schierbeek

Willem Christiaan Schierbeek (born September 13, 1879 in Groningen , † September 23, 1952 in The Hague ) was a Dutch football player .

Career

Schierbeek belonged as a goalkeeper to the Karlsruher FV , with whom he reached the final of the German championship in Weidenpescher Park on June 11, 1905 in Cologne . But against the BTuFC Union 92 , the champions of the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine , he and his team lost 2-0.

He then played for the Dutch club HBS Craeyenhout from The Hague , one of the leading clubs in the Netherlands at the time. Emerging from the first division west, he and his team won the two-legged final of the Dutch championship 3: 2 and 4: 2 against the winner of the first division east, the EFC PW 1885 .
