Willi Hüglin

Wilhelm Hüglin (* thirtieth March 1926 in Herbolzheim , † 31 July 2013 in Baden-Baden ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life

Willi Hüglin was born as the second of seven children to Elisabeth and Julius Hüglin. Father and mother ran the “Zur Tanne” inn in Herbolzheim . As a young adolescent he became a member of the NSDAP in 1944 ( membership number 9.732.862). At the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the English, but was soon sent home because of his youth. After the end of the war, he began studying to be a teacher in Freiburg, specializing in German, French and history. After studying and training, Willi Hüglin became an assessor in Rastatt.

From 1964 to 1969 he taught at the Colegio Alexander von Humboldt, the German school in Lima . Hüglin then taught again at the Hohenbaden High School . In 1970/71 he ran for the SPD for the state parliament, to which he belonged in the 6th electoral period from 1972 to 1976. From 1975 to 1976 he was a city councilor.

From 1976 to 1981 he was Vice Rector of the German School in Quito . On his return in 1981 he took over the chairmanship of the SPD city association Baden-Baden and was again a city councilor from 1984 to 1985, until he was appointed headmaster of the Colegio Weberbauer in Lima in 1985. He held this position until his retirement in 1991. He died on July 31, 2013 in the Baden-Baden City Clinic.
