Willi Kaiser-Heyl

Willi Kaiser-Heyl , also Willy Kaiser-Heyl and Wilhelm Kaiser-Heyl (born August 4, 1876 in Frankfurt am Main , † December 2, 1953 in Berlin ) was a German actor and opera singer .

Life

He performed publicly at the age of eleven and received Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt and then at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan trained in classical singing and in dramatic acting. He made his singing debut in Pavia .

In 1907 he returned to Germany and worked at the Stadttheater Augsburg as an actor and opera singer. From 1909 to 1911 he was part of the ensemble of the Volksoper Berlin , after which he worked at the Elector's Opera until 1914.

Kaiser-Heyl began his film career in 1916. He was in the silent era supporting actor in several thrillers, melodramas and historical films . In talkies, he usually had to be content with tiny appearances, often unnamed. Sometimes he also made guest appearances as a singer and worked as a singing teacher.
