Detective Tom Shark solves the crimes of a follower of an Indian sect who sacrifices people in the USA in the name of the goddess of death.

The film was produced by Decla-Film-Gesellschaft Holz & Co. Eiko-Film was shot in the studios, and recordings of Heiland, which he had shot in India for documentary purposes, were also used. It was four files in length . He was examined by the censors in August 1916. The Berlin police imposed a youth ban on him (No. 39636), the Munich police did not allow an announcement as a detective film (No. 22079, 22080, 22081, 22082). The premiere was on September 16, 1916 or October 1916 in the Biophon Theater.
