The film was produced by the Decla-Film-Gesellschaft Holz & Co. It had a length of four acts at 1279 meters, which corresponds to about 70 minutes. He was examined by the censors in June 1917. The Berlin police imposed a youth ban on him (No. 40712), the Munich police did not allow an announcement as a detective film (No. 24845, 24846, 24847, 24848). The world premiere took place on July 12, 1917.
