The film was produced by Decla-Film-Gesellschaft Holz & Co. (No. 22), and Eiko-Film was shot in the studios. It was four files in length . The censorship took place in July 1916. The Berlin police imposed a youth ban on him (No. 38491), the Munich police did not allow any announcement as a detective film (No. 21796, 21797, 21798, 21799). The premiere took place on December 29, 1916 in the Berlin marble house.
