Willi Trautmann

Willi Christian Trautmann (born March 13, 1924 in Nieder-Liebersbach , † February 21, 1966 in Saarbrücken ) was a German table tennis player . He represented the Saarland at two world championships .

Trautmann played for 1. FC Saarbrücken and was one of the best players in Saarland in the 1950s. He won the Saarland Championship four times, in 1950/51 in singles and doubles with Hans Krämer and in 1954/55 in singles and mixed with Eva Graf .

When Saarland appeared as an independent association at the World Championships in 1954 and 1955 , Trautmann was nominated in each case. He did not come close to a medal either in the individual competitions or in the individual competitions.

Trautmann was married since 1948.
