William Allan Award

The William Allan Award is the highest scientific award of the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) and is presented annually. The prize was first awarded in 1961 and is intended to commemorate William Allan (1881–1943), a US pioneer in human genetics .

In addition to a medal, the winner receives prize money of US $ 10,000 . He is supposed to give a price presentation at the annual meeting of the ASHG and publish its summary in the American Journal of Human Genetics .
