William Jules "Bill" Andre (born August 23, 1931 in Montclair ) is a former American pentathlete .
Career
Andre took in 1956 at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in part. In the individual competition, he finished seventh. In the team competition, to which George Lambert and Jack Daniels also contributed in addition to Lambert , he won silver behind the Soviet Union. The year before, he and the team had already won the silver medal at the 1955 Pan American Games .
At the World Championships in 1953 he achieved his only podium finish with the bronze medal in individual.
