William Clothier
William Jackson Clothier (born September 27, 1881 in Sharon Hill , Pennsylvania , † September 4, 1962 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania) was an American tennis player .
Career
His greatest success was winning the American championships in 1906. He also reached the finals in 1904 and 1909, but lost to Holcombe Ward and William Larned, respectively .
With the American team he won the Davis Cup in 1905 and 1906 . In 1956 he was accepted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
