William Fritz
William Fritz ( William Duncan "Bill" Fritz ; born August 14, 1914 in Ferrybank , Alberta , † October 14, 1995 in London , Ontario ) was a Canadian sprinter .
At the British Empire Games in London in 1934 , he was fourth in the 440-yard run and won silver with the Canadian team in the 4-times-440-yard relay.
In 1936 he was fifth in the 400-meter run at the Olympic Games in Berlin and came fourth with the Canadian team in the 4-by-400-meter relay .
In 1938 he won gold in the British Empire Games in Sydney with the Canadian relay over 4 times 440 yards and silver in the individual competition over 440 yards.
