William Glyn Hughes Simon

William Glyn Hughes Simon (born April 14, 1903 in Swansea , † June 14, 1972 ) was a British Anglican Archbishop of the Church in Wales and author .

Life

Simon studied Anglican theology at St Stephen's House in Oxford . In 1928 he was ordained a deacon. From 1953 to 1957 he was Bishop of Swansea and Brecon. Simon was Bishop of Llandaff from 1957 to 1970 and Archbishop of the Church in Wales from 1968 to 1970. As an author, he wrote several works. Simon was married and had four children. Simon developed Parkinson's disease in the last years of his life .
