William Karl Koch

William Karl Koch (born November 7, 1849 in Unterfarnstädt near Querfurt , † August 4, 1920 there ) was a German politician of the DDP .

Life and work

Koch, who was of Protestant faith, attended the Francke Foundations' community school , which he left in 1864. After working on other estates, he took over his father's estate in 1875, which he enlarged to 107 hectares through acquisitions.

MP

From 1912 to 1918 Koch was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg - Querfurt . He joined the Group of the Progressive People's Party . In 1919/20 he was a member of the Weimar National Assembly . He was also head of the community in Unterfarnstedt for ten years .
