William Walker Foulkrod

William Walker Foulkrod (born November 22, 1846 in Frankford , Pennsylvania , †  November 13, 1910 ibid) was an American politician . Between 1907 and 1910 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

Career

William Foulkrod attended both public and private schools. He then traded in textiles ( dry goods ) and manufactured hosiery. He later became president of the Philadelphia Trades League . He was also involved in plans to expand the shipping route on the Delaware River . Politically, he became a member of the Republican Party .

In the congressional elections of 1906 , Foulkrod was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the fifth constituency of Pennsylvania , where he succeeded Edward de Veaux Morrell on March 4, 1907 . After being re-elected, he could remain in Congress until his death on November 13, 1910 . Shortly before his death, he ran unsuccessfully for re-election to Congress.
