Dickies in pop culture

The company's most notable product is certainly the "Dickies 874 Work Pants", also known as O-Dog , sturdy chinos with a permanent crease. In the 90s in particular, the O-Dog was a popular item of clothing in the hip-hop scene and was popularized by several West Coast rappers such as Eazy-E , Dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg .

The 874s and the Dickies brand were also very popular in the nu-metal scene, especially with the Deftones , of whom there is an over-the-counter T-shirt in which the Dickies lettering of the company logo has been replaced by a Deftones lettering. This T-shirt was very popular and was worn at several photo shoots and performances by other musicians of the crossover genre such as Fred Durst , Sandra Nasic and Max Cavalera .
