Willie Hoffmann-Andersen

Willie Hoffmann-Andersen (born January 15, 1904 in Berlin , † after 1960) was a German film producer .

Live and act

Hoffmann-Andersen had completed practical training in various film branches. Before joining production, the Berlin native worked as a unit manager, camera assistant and production manager. Immediately after the Second World War, he was also head of a guest performance management company based in Munich. With the Apollo-Filmproduktion GmbH, Hoffmann-Andersen founded his own film production company in 1950, which brought a total of 14 films to the cinemas over the next six years - all of them lightweight entertainment products.

For decades, established old stars such as Hans Söhnker , Willy Birgel , Ilse Werner , Rudolf Forster , Rudolf Prack and Theo Lingen have appeared in front of the camera for the Apollo . The Apollo production range mainly comprised melodramas, homeland films and Edelschnulzen. In 1956 Hoffmann-Andersen ended his film work abruptly. The producer was married twice and last lived (1960) in Berlin-Dahlem. His date of death is currently unknown.
