Willy Rasmussen

Willy Rasmussen ( Willy Lorang Rasmussen; born December 3, 1937 in Kongsberg ; † August 12, 2018 in Asker ) was a Norwegian javelin thrower .

In 1958 he was twelfth at the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm , in 1960 fifth at the Olympic Games in Rome and in 1962 ninth at the European Championships in Belgrade .

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 and at the European Championship in Budapest in 1966 , he was eliminated from the qualification.

He was Norwegian champion four times (1958, 1959, 1961, 1965). He set his personal best of 84.18 m on August 14, 1961 in Oslo .
