Wilson Waigwa

Wilson Waigwa (born February 15, 1949 ) is a retired Kenyan middle and long distance runner .

In 1978 he won over 1500 m silver at the Africa Games in Algiers and finished fifth at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton .

In 1984 he was fifth at the World Cross Country Championships in East Rutherford and over 5000 m at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles tenth.

At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1987 in Indianapolis, he was eliminated over 3000 m in the preliminary run.

In 1982 he was English champion over 5000 m. Starting for the University of Texas at El Paso , he was NCAA indoor champion in the mile run and NCAA champion in the 1500 m in 1977 .
