Wily Peralta (born May 8, 1989 in Samaná , Dominican Republic ) is a Dominican baseball player in the major league . He currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers in the pitching position .

Childhood and youth

Peralta grew up in Samaná, but then moved with his family to Santo Domingo when he was eleven to train with his uncle. Before that, he did not own a baseball glove and he practiced throwing the ball with a lemon .

Career

Minor Leagues

Peralta was signed as a free agent by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2006 . He played his first professional season with the Arizona Brewers in the Rookie League. After he had suspended the 2007 season, he returned to the Rookie League in 2008 and played for both the Helena Brewers and West Virginia Power in Class A. In 2009 he then played for the Class A club Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. In the 2010 season he moved again between the Advanced A-Club Brevard County Manatees and the AA-Club Huntsville Stars, but was included in the 40-player roster of the Milwaukee Brewers after the season. Also in 2011 Peralta started with the Stars, but was sent to the Nashville Sounds at the end of the season.

Major League Baseball

On April 21, 2012, Peralta was added to the Milwaukee Brewers roster to replace Kameron Loe and pitched for his new team against the Colorado Rockies for the first time the following day . After only one game and one run, the game was over for him. He makes his first game in the MLB on September 5, 2012 against the Miami Marlins . On July 9, 2013, he pitched a full game against the Cincinnati Reds for the first time in his career. This was last the case on April 5, 2011, when Yovani Gallardo ended a full game against the Atlanta Braves .
