Ladies singles of the Wimbledon Championships 1885 .

Although last year's winner Maud Watson was the defending champion, no Challenge Round was played , which was unusual for the time . Instead, Watson, like the other players, had to fight his way through the field. In the final, she beat Blanche Bingley 6-1 and 7-5 and thus defended her title.
