The WindEnergy Hamburg is an international wind energy - Trade Fair , which every two years on the grounds of Hamburg Messe und Congress takes place. It took place for the first time between 2002 and 2006 and has been held in Hamburg every two years since 2014. It is considered to be the world's leading trade fair for the wind energy industry.

function

When it was organized in 2014, WindEnergy Hamburg took on the role of HUSUM WindEnergy , which was the leading international trade fair for wind energy until 2012. Both fairs have been working together since then. While WindEnergy Hamburg, which takes place in even calendar years, serves as the leading international trade fair, the trade fair called "HUSUM Wind" since 2015 will be held in uneven years in future and is primarily intended to function as a trade fair for the German wind energy market. WindEnergy Hamburg is conceived as a trade fair for trade visitors .

history

WindEnergy Hamburg was held for the first time in June 2002 and has already had 10,000 visitors there. From 2008, the exhibition companies from Hamburg and Husum entered into a cooperation and relocated the exhibition to Husum. After a long break, the first trade fair in the new series took place in Hamburg from September 23 to 26, 2014. It was opened by Economics and Energy Minister Sigmar Gabriel , the First Mayor of Hamburg Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Torsten Albig , Schleswig-Holstein . 1,300 exhibitors from over 30 countries around the world took part, including 19 manufacturers of wind turbines . The number of trade visitors during the four days of the fair was 33,000.
