The Windhoek Show Grounds (in German  about Windhoeker exhibition grounds ) is the public trade fair and exhibition grounds in Windhoek , the capital of Namibia . Established in 1934, the site is managed by the Windhoek Show Society and has been owned by the Windhoek Show Society since 1966. It covers a total area of ​​26 hectares. It also organizes the largest trade fair in the country, the Windhoek Show .

The exhibition center is centrally located in Windhoek, south of downtown Central on the edge of the southern industrial area near Maerua Mall . The pure exhibition grounds cover an area of ​​over 100,000 square meters (m²). There are also parking spaces of around 50,000 m².

Construction of the exhibition center

The exhibition center has indoor and outdoor areas with Krälen . There are four entrances to the exhibition grounds, of which the " Nedbank Entrance" and the " Bank Windhoek Entrance" are the main entrances.

The site has 13 halls, including

  • Hall A (“Baobab”) - 900 m²
  • Main Hall M (“Galpini”) - 930 m²
  • President Hall ("Camelthorn") with an exhibition area of ​​1450 m² - ground floor (850 m²) and gallery floor (600 m²)

The outside areas with the agricultural crows in the north and the “Nedbank Harambee Village” are more than 30,000 m² in size. A large number of free public parking spaces are available at the main entrance (north-west) on Bell Strasse.
