The southern industrial area ( English Southern Industrial ) is an industrial area and district of Windhoek , Namibia and is located southwest of downtown Windhoek-Central . In the southeast the area borders on the Suiderhof district and in the west on the Hochlandpark district .

This is where light industry , the major car dealerships and important manufacturing industries are located. In addition, a large number of the city's nightclubs have been settled here in order to minimize noise pollution.

The southern industrial area belongs to the constituency of Windhoek-West and is the counterpart to the northern industrial area , which is located northwest of Windhoek-Central .
