The northern industrial area ( English Northern Industrial ) is an industrial suburb of the Namibian capital Windhoek . It is located at the northeast end of the city and, together with the Lafrenz industrial area, forms the most important industrial location in Namibia. The area is served by a TransNamib railway line and is strategically located on the B1 national road .

The Northern Industrial Area is dominated by light and heavy industry . In addition to the city's largest power station, there are a. meat processing companies as well as numerous factories and warehouses.
