Goreangab Dam

Goreangab is a suburb of Windhoek , the capital of Namibia . Goreangab is a former black place of residence and is located in the northwest of the city, immediately north of the eponymous Goreangab dam and reservoir. The district has developed strongly since Namibia's independence and has expanded significantly to the west beyond its actual borders. The district has 18,000 inhabitants.

Investors have been planning to build a waterfront on Goreangab Dam since mid-2009 . This should be home to restaurants, shops, schools and doctors. In addition, there has been the Penduka aid project in the district for several years with demonstrations for tourists, a restaurant and souvenir shop.
