Ludwigsdorf is a suburb of Windhoek and is located on the slopes of the Erosberge , in the far eastern part of the city. Ludwigsdorf borders on Klein Windhoek . A ridge in the south of Ludwigsdorf separates the suburb from Avis-Damm , the national road B6 from the Luxushügel district .

Ludwigsdorf is the most expensive residential area in Windhoek and is also home to numerous embassies .

The district was named after John Ludwig , whose grave here is a national monument .
