The windmill Anna is a Dutchman in the village of Nübbel in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . It has been used as a local museum since 1982 .
history
Hinrich Bock built Nübbel's first mill in 1859 with "Cäcilie", made entirely of wood and thatched. In 1872 he handed it over to his son Johannes Bock, who brought barley from Königsberg and Hamburg, as it was in short supply in Nübbel and the surrounding area. Around 1900 he had a steam engine installed in the mill to replace the winch. In 1904, Cecilia was destroyed by fire. The windmill was built from 1904 to 1905 on the foundations of the previous Celilie mill that had burned down . The mill was operated with wind until the blades were dismantled in 1948, then with motor power until it was shut down in 1973. From 1973 the technical equipment of the mill was removed. Due to economic changes, the mill was destined for demolition in 1976. The foundation "Mühle ANNA" ensures the continued existence of the mill Anna by using it as a local museum. Since 2005 the mill has been owned by the "Mühle ANNA" foundation .
exhibition
In the indoor and outdoor area, the local history museum shows exhibits from the fields of house, agriculture and wooden shipbuilding. Until 1913, Nübbel was an important location for wooden shipbuilding. The exhibition extends over all 4 floors of the mill. Since 2017 the foundation "Mühle ANNA" has owned the local history museum, which opened in 1982. The aim of the foundation is to preserve the mill and the museum.
