The Alto Minho wind farm is a wind farm in Portugal that is located in the Viana do Castelo district. When completed at the end of 2008, it was the largest onshore wind farm in Europe with a nominal output of 240 MW . It consists of 68 wind turbines of the type E-82 Enercon and 52 wind turbines of the type Enercon E-70 , each having a rated capacity of 2 MW at a rotor diameter of 82 or 70 meters. Together with a smaller wind farm nearby, it has an annual standard capacity of around 650 GWh , which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of around 300,000 Portuguese households.

The wind farm is formed by five wind farm groups that extend over the districts of Paredes de Coura , Monção , Melgaço and Valença .
