Wingo is a Colombian low-cost airline and a subsidiary of the Panamanian Copa Airlines . It operates as a virtual airline and does not have its own Air Operator Certificate . The flight operations are carried out by the sister company Copa Airlines Colombia .
history
In 2005, Copa bought the Colombian company Aero República and renamed it Copa Airlines Colombia in 2010. When the low-cost airline Viva Air Colombia carried out its first flights in 2012 , Copa Airlines Colombia focused on international routes. That should change again with the daughter Wingo, founded in 2016.
Destinations
As of May 2019, Wingo flies to 6 national (Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Cali, San Andres) and 14 international destinations.
