The Lake Winnebago (dt. Winnebagosee even Kitchigaminsee ) is a 557 km² large lake in the US state of Wisconsin .

It is the largest body of water entirely located in this state: the two Great Lakes, Lake Superior and Lake Michigan , are larger, but do not only extend into the state of Wisconsin. It stretches over the administrative districts of Winnebago , Calumet and Fond du Lac , is around 46 km long and up to 16 km wide. It flows over the Fox River into Lake Michigan.
