Winterthur marathon
The Winterthur Marathon is a marathon that has been taking place in Winterthur since 1999 in May . The program also includes a half marathon , from 2007 an additional 10 km run and since 2011 a 5.2 km trial run.
After the route previously led around the Lindberg and Wolfensberg , from 2007 a 21.1 km long route with +/- 80 meters of altitude will lead around the Eschenberg , which the marathon runners will master twice. The start and finish is at the Teuchelweier multi-purpose facility , then it goes to the Töss , on the right-hand side of which a loop is first run before it goes upstream on the left bank through the Leisental to the Sennhof. There you turn north and reach the starting point via lakes . The subsurface consists of 60% nature trails and 40% asphalt.
