Today's winegrowers' house is the upper part of the former Kucksteinhof, which belonged to the Cassius monastery in Bonn . A winegrower's house has been occupied at the site since 1661. The present building, which was also used as a winegrower's house, was built in the 18th century. With the secularization (1803), the Kuckstein passed into the possession of the state as a domain property and was later divided up; the family von la Valette Saint George bought the upper Kucksteinhof. In 1843 the farm had three residents. The company operated from 1861 by a family of winemakers until the First World War as "Weingut Kuckstein".
