Wishbone Ridge is a top view Y- shaped mountain ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It branches off 3 km east of Morris Peak in a northeasterly direction from the main ridge of the Duncan Mountains on the Amundsen coast .
The descriptive naming was made at the suggestion of the US geologist Edmund Stump (* 1946), who was part of a team from Ohio State University as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program on December 21, 1974 involved in geological mapping . Due to its Y-shape of the ridge to the recalls leg ( English wishbone ) of a bird skeleton .
