Science award of the city of Basel
The Science Prize of the City of Basel is to be awarded to scholars and researchers who are related to the University of Basel as an award for their scientific achievements. The price is 20,000 francs (as of 2019). Its establishment was decided by the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt on October 16, 1958.
