Maurus, who comes from Weitnau and competes for TSV Buchenberg , made her international debut on August 29, 2014 as part of the School Grand Prix in Oberstdorf . Around a year and a half later, she took part in the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA 2016 in Tarvisio and Villach for the first time, where she narrowly missed the medal ranks in fourth in the individual competition, whereas she won silver with the team. In the following years she regularly competed in the Youth Cup and the Alpine Cup . Since the jumping rounds in the Alpine Cup are integrated into those of the special jumping, Maurus automatically took part in the Ski Jumping Alpine Cup.
On January 20, 2018, Maurus participated in the first competition of the newly created Continental Cup for women in Rena, Norway . After a total of four participations, in which she was always placed in the top ten, Maurus finished the 2017/18 season in fifth place in the overall Continental Cup ranking.
After Maurus finished fifth overall in the 2018 Grand Prix , she started the 2018/19 Continental Cup season with two sixth places . In the following competitions, however, she was unable to build on this, so that she only reached the lower ranks with 22nd place in the first official staging of a junior women's competition at the 2019 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti .
