The Witron Logistik + computer science GmbH (proper spelling: WITRON ) is a German company for the design and manufacture of logistics and material handling systems. The headquarters of the medium-sized family company is in Parkstein in the Upper Palatinate .

history

The company was founded in 1971 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate by Walter Winkler . The headquarters of Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH has been located in Parkstein in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district since 1975. In 1980 the subsidiary WIBOND Informationssysteme GmbH was founded. Numerous extensions to the company's headquarters in Parkstein have taken place to this day. In 2007 Witron had 1000 employees and in 2014 it had 2000 employees.
