Wizex is a Swedish dansband that was founded in Osby in 1973 with Kikki Danielsson as singer. The breakthrough came in 1977 when the band appeared on SVT TV during the Nygammalt show . In 1977 Wizex made it into the Svensktoppen hit parade with the song En vagabond . In 1978 Wizex played at Melodifestivalen , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , and took second place. After these two successes, the band had many placements in the Swedish hit lists.
In 1982 Kikki Danielsson was replaced as singer by Lena Pålsson . In 1997 Charlotte Nilsson joined Wizex as a singer, followed by Paula Pennsäter in 1999 after her unexpected exit . After problems with the vocal cords, Jessica Sjöholm replaced them in March 2002. Other influential former band members were Dan Stråhed and Henri Saffer.
