Vyacheslav Jemeljanowitsch Drjagin ( Russian Вячеслав Емельянович Дрягин ; born September 20, 1940 in Kirov ; † February 22, 2002 ) was a Soviet Nordic combined . He competed three times at the Winter Olympics between 1964 and 1972 and won bronze at the 1970 World Cup .
Career
Drjagin celebrated his first major success with seventh place at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , which was also rated as the Nordic World Ski Championships. He reached 10th place in jumping and 12th in cross-country skiing. Four years later at the 1968 Winter Games in Grenoble he was eighth in the individual.
Drjagin started two years later at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 in Štrbské Pleso . In the individual combination, he won the bronze medal behind Czechoslovak Ladislav Rygl and his compatriot Nikolai Nogowizyn . He only had to admit defeat to it by 0.34 points.
At his third Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo in 1972 , he started again at the age of 31 and was able to achieve 29th place again.
