Vladimir Alexandrovich Albizki ( Russian Владимир Александрович Альбицкий ; born June 4 . Jul / 16th June 1891 greg. In Kishinev ; † 15. June 1952 ) was a Soviet astronomer .
In the lists of discovered asteroids his name is given in the English spelling as V. Albitskij .
From 1922 he worked at the Crimean Observatory in Simejis , which at that time was a branch of the Pulkovo Observatory , with GA Schain and GN Neuimin . During this time he discovered ten asteroids .
The asteroid (1783) Albitskij was named after him.
Publications
According to his files in the archives of the Pulkovo Observatory, WA Albitzki wrote 88 publications. Only five of them can be found in NASA's Astrophysics Data System (ADS) , the rest exists as a copy from the archive provided by Alex Gaina. This also contains a large part of the asteroid observations.
A Russian edition of the work on the radial velocities of 343 stars can be found in the National Library of Denmark .
