Vladimir Vladimirovich Volodenkov ( Russian Владимир Владимирович Володенков ; born  April 25, 1972 in Leningrad ) is a former Russian rower and bronze medalist at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Career

Volodenkow, rowing for Dynamo Saint Petersburg , competed in the 1996 Olympic Games with the Russian eighth and won the bronze medal behind the Dutch and German eighth. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney Volodenkow finished 9th with the Russian eighth. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , Volodenkow took 11th place with the Russian four-man without a helmsman .

The best placement at the World Rowing Championships reached Volodenkow with the Russian team in 1999 in Canada with the bronze rank. At the European Rowing Championships in 2008 at the Schinias Olympic Rowing and Canoeing Center in Athens , Volodenkow won silver with the Russian eighth .

Volodenkov is an officer in the border troops of Russia . He works as the coach of the Russian national rowing team.
