Wladislav Wazlawowitsch Dworschezki ( Russian Владислав Вацлавович Дворжецкий ; also Vladislav Dvorzhetsky ; born April 26, 1939 in Omsk ; † May 28, 1978 in Gomel ) was a Soviet actor. He starred in eighteen films between 1970 and 1978.

Life

Dvorzhetsky was born into a family of actors. In 1955 he entered the Omsk Military Medicine Faculty and began in 1959 his active service in the Soviet army as a surgeon of his regiment on the island of Sakhalin . During this time he married for the first time. In 1964 he returned to Omsk and began studying drama school there. After graduating in 1967, Dworschezki received an engagement at the Omsk Dramatic Theater. Here he met his second wife. In 1968 the assistant director of the Moscow " Mosfilm " studio visited Omsk and became aware of the tall actor with the high forehead and distinctive eyes. In 1970 he got his first leading role in a film as General Chludow in "The Flight", which made him famous. In the following film he got the role of pilot Berton in the film " Solaris " (1971) based on a utopian novel by Stanislaw Lem .

During this Moscow period, his second marriage ended in divorce and he focused on his film career. In the spring of 1972 Vladislav played the role of Alexander Ilyin in " Sannikow-Land ". In 1974 he played the communist Yaroslav in "Until the Last Minute" and received the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR for this role. In 1975 he played the main role in the utopian adventure film " Captain Nemo " based on motifs from the novel " 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea " by Jules Verne . The peak of the Moscow public's attention was the portrayal of Saint Anthony in 1976. On December 29, 1976, he was admitted to hospital acutely after having had two heart attacks within two weeks. Dworschezki died of acute heart failure in Gomel in 1978.

Dvorzhetsky was married four times and had three children.
