The residential and commercial building on Deichstrasse 10 in Cuxhaven , Deichstrasse / corner of Schwarzer Weg, is a listed building in Lower Saxony and is included in the list of architectural monuments in Cuxhaven .
history
The two- and three-storey plastered representative building with the lateral three-storey striking gabled bay window with a volute or tail gable and the playful bay with the pointed tent roof and the octagonal roof turrets as skylights and lookout in 1895 in the era of historicism and in the style of neo-baroque for the pharmacist Ernst Wilhelm Voss ( Voss Pharmacy ) built. The later renamed Löwen-Apotheke was housed here until 2016. It was the first pharmacy in Cuxhaven. The former pharmacy at Hardewiek 105, today Kleine Hardewiek, was demolished in 1909.
Today (2020) the house is used for apartments, shops and a practice.
The buildings Deichstrasse 4 , 5 to 8 , 9 , 12A , 13a , 20 and 40 are also under monument protection, for No. 12 the monument protection was lifted.
