The former police station Cuxhaven in Cuxhaven , Deichstraße 13a, is a listed building in Lower Saxony and is included in the list of architectural monuments in Cuxhaven .

history

The two-storey plastered building from 1898 from the historicism era with a high basement, the side gable wing with loggias and entrance and the crooked hip roof with gable tops was the old police station . Are distinctively from Weser sandstone the door and window frames ( window surrounds ), the decorative triangle with a stylized shell and the emblem of Hamburg top of the gable.

After the police moved out (today Werner-Kammann-Straße 8), this was the seat of the public order office for several decades until 2003. The then privatized house was extensively renovated and is now (2020) used for apartments, holiday homes and offices.

The buildings Deichstrasse 4 , 5 to 8 , 9 , 10 , 12A , 20 and 40 are also under monument protection, for No. 12 the monument protection was lifted.
