Residential building group Keplerstrasse

The Keplerstrasse residential group in Bremen , Ostliche Vorstadt district, Fesenfeld district , Keplerstrasse 9 to 36, was built in 1870, 1894 and around 1905. This group of buildings has been a listed building in Bremen since 1975 .

The short Keplerstrasse leads in a north-south direction from Feldstrasse to Humboldtstrasse . It was created in 1868 and named after the philosopher, mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571–1630).

history

The mostly two-storey plastered houses were built for a middle class in 1870, 1890 and 1905 in the era of historicism and the turn of the century; the planners are not known.
The houses belong to the ensemble

  • Nos. 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 and 36 from 1870;
  • Nos. 21, 23, 25 and 27 of 1894;
  • Nos. 9, 11, 13, 15 and 19 from 1905.

The houses 10, 12, 16 and 28 are also protected as individual monuments. The houses No. 14, 17 and 34 are parts of no monument value of their own.

Currently (2018) the buildings are largely used as residential buildings.

The chosen house type Bremer Haus was built in Bremen between the mid-19th century and the 1930s. The basement as a basement , the deep building shape and the side entrance are typical .
