Wojciech Świętosławski

Wojciech Alojzy Świętosławski (born June 21, 1881 in Kiryjówka , Volhynia , † April 29, 1968 in Warsaw ) was a Polish biophysicist .

Świętosławski studied at the chemical faculty of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute between 1899 and 1906 .

Świętosławski was a professor at the Warsaw University and the Warsaw Political Engineering School (TU) and from 1928 to 1929 rector at the Warsaw Political Engineering School and senator of the Second Republic of Poland .

His scientific specialties were thermochemistry , especially calorimetry and microcalorimetry.

In 1959 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Technical University of Dresden .
