Wojciech Paleszniak

Wojciech Paleszniak (born August 4, 1986 ) is a Polish volleyball coach . Since the 2018/19 season he has been assistant coach of the women's Bundesliga team at Dresdner SC .

Career

Paleszniak began playing volleyball as a child and was active himself until he was a student, before he gained his first experience as a coach in the academic league. After completing his bachelor's degree , he had to end his active playing career due to an injury and decided to become a coach. At the same time as his master’s degree , he completed his trainer training and completed an internship at a Polish second division club. In 2012 he completed an internship as an assistant trainer at VC Olympia Dresden , the junior team of the Dresdner SC. After completing his internship in Dresden, he worked alongside Jens Tietböhl as an assistant and athletic trainer at VC Olympia Berlin . He held this position until 2016, before he became a federal base trainer at VC Olympia Berlin. During his time in Dresden, the Pole also acted as an assistant coach for the U16 and U18 national teams of the German volleyball women and assisted a. a. at the European volleyball championships for U 18 / U 19 juniors in 2017 and 2018 and at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2017.

At the end of August 2018, the German cup winner Dresdner SC announced the commitment of Paleszniak. He signed a one-year contract until 2019 as assistant coach of the women's Bundesliga team coached by Alexander Waibl . He became the successor to Andrea Ebana .
