Wolf-Dietrich Eulitz

Wolf-Dietrich Eulitz (* around 1942) is a German violinist and medical musician .

Life

He studied violin playing at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden and was able to obtain his degree there in 1966. He then played in the Staatskapelle Berlin from January 1967 until his retirement in September 2008 . In the summer of 2016, the Karlshorster Salonsextett chamber ensemble was founded , in which Eulitz is the director and plays the first violin. He lives in the Berlin district of Karlshorst .

Eulitz has been concerned with music physiology and musicians 'medicine since 1979 and over the decades has earned a high reputation as a curative teacher for musicians' diseases among string instrumentalists (violinists and violists ). He published several monographs and specialist articles. In the context of his activities in this regard, Eulitz works with the Berlin Circle for Musicians 'Medicine, the German Society for Music Physiology and Musicians' Medicine , the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin and the Berlin University of the Arts . In addition, he gave lectures in the 1990s and led workshops at the European Congress for Musicians' Medicine and Music Physiology (1996 and 1998) and the Congress of the European Society for Hand Surgery (1999).
