Wolf Buchinger

Kurt Hans-Wolf Buchinger (born December 28, 1943 in Homburg ) is a Swiss writer, presenter and musician.

Life

Wolf Buchinger grew up in Waldmohr in the West Palatinate. He attended high schools in Homburg (Saar) and Kusel (Pfalz) and graduated in 1964 with the Abitur. He studied German and geography at the University of Saarbrücken. In 1969 he married. After teaching for three years at secondary level II in Saarland, he moved to Switzerland in 1972 and settled in Goldach on Lake Constance . He worked for 25 years as a secondary teacher in St. Gallen and in the Pestalozzidorf Trogen. Since 1994 he has been working as a coach and communication trainer in management. Buchinger has been giving lectures and seminars on the subject of "getting old" since 2010, and he has written a corresponding guide "Positive for old age".

Wolf Buchinger's literary work includes short stories, poems, novels, specialist books and plays. For 30 years he has also been writing articles for the “ Nebelspalter ”, the Swiss satirical magazine (signature “wb”). Buchinger also worked as a TV presenter, for example for the Zurich city broadcaster “Hasli-TV”, “ Tele Ostschweiz ” and “ tvo ”, and since 2018 author for the online newspaper “dieOstschweiz”.

As a musician (composer, lyricist and keyboardist) he and his wife Inga (singer) have been on the road as Kernbeissers with programs in German and French since 1982 , including tours in Senegal, Mali and Madagascar. The programs are a mix of mostly own German chansons and texts in German and French, since 2018 with “Kernbeisser's monthly song” on “dieostschweiz.ch”
